Many of us these days buy technology without knowing the full specifications and features that come along with device. This is a major drawback as we do not know our device to the fullest and thus, have incomplete idea of what it is capable of doing. Same is the case with the new iPhone 6S and 6S plus. The device itself is capable of doing a variety of things as Apple has added a whole lot of new features to it which are not known to most of its users.
One such feature is the capability of iPhone 6S and 6S plus to record 4k high-definition video that is, it has horizontal resolution on the order of 4000 pixels which is pretty impressive. This feature is not up front or very clear to the users as it does not launch when the iOS camera app is opened. By default, the iOS camera app records video at 1080p at 60 frames per second. So, in order to experience and enjoy this feature to its fullest you can use a 4k equipped TV which will give you a better and bigger picture of this particular feature.
In order to use 4k option you will need to enable it by following few simple and very easy steps which are mentioned below:
- Go to the setting of your iPhone.
- Select the option “Photos & Camera”.
- Within this option in the camera section, tap on the “Record video”.
- And then further tap on 4K at 30 fps.
By having a look at the information given beneath different settings, you will understand the idea behind Apple not setting 4K as default.
The default 1080p setting uses around 200MB for every minute of video recorded. Whereas, 4K video consumes almost double, at 375MB of storage for every minute you record. It’s quite clear, 4K video and 16GB iPhones are not going to thrive very well.
With every article that we keep going by, with every step, we discover and discuss some new features of iPhone 6S and 6S plus which is evidence that Apple has come up with a whole new bundle of innovative features which are very exciting to discover and we are very eager to open up those features and ease them out for you so you can unlock whole new levels to your devices making them more controllable and interesting for you.
