iPhone’s sales have fallen for the first time in China on a yearly basis. Sales of 2016 Apple are estimated to be a total of 44.9 million units, with less than 10 % of market share.
These data indicate that the sales of Apple smartphones have fallen by 23 % compared to the year 2015. On the other hand, is something quite logical considering that China has a market dominated by the marks of smartphones as Huawei, Alive and Oppo.
These companies (some of which are unknown internationally) represent half of the sales of smartphones in China. In fact, the sales of Oppo grew up to 100 % last year.
Apple needs to gain market share in China
The efforts of Apple, especially Tim Cook, gain a foothold in the Chinese market have been unbeatable, but insufficient. Local brands offer, more or less, the same benefits as the iPhone but at a much lower cost.
In this way, Apple has lost bellows in the lists of sales of China, this fall has arrived just when the company of the apple bite is looking for new ways to develop marketing tactics for the growth of sales of the iPhone.
Investors are awaiting the arrival of the new iPhone 8, 2017 to achieve that Apple back in the Chinese market, thanks to a very long awaited redesign of the terminal (according to the rumors). But, by what appears to be, the iPhone 7 has not excited much to consumers in China.
As we hear from the blog 9To5mac Apple has sold 15 million iPhone in the last quarter of 2016, which would be a drop of 13 %. What do you think about this data? Is the market of smartphones suffering due to lack of innovation? Update your phone every year? Participates in the comments.
