How to install iOS 9 update wirelessly Over the Air (OTA):
Before starting the download, connect the device to the discharge of the battery during the upgrade process. It may take a few minutes to an hour for the update to download and install, depending on how Apple’s servers handle the load and connect to the Internet. You can also connect your iPhone to the local WiFi network, so you will not be charged for downloading the update via the cellular connection.
Once you are plugged in and connected via Wi-Fi, open the Settings app and tap General> Software Update. iOS automatically checks for updates available and inform you that the update iOS 9 software is available.
Note: Jailbreakers should install the update with iTunes, such as OTA updates are known to cause problems with jailbreaking.
Press Download to download the update. Wait for the download, and press Install to apply the update. If you are tired of waiting for the download (may take some time) then go do something else. How to install iOS 9 update using iTunes:
If you are not getting the iOS 9 software update via over-the-air (OTA) as mentioned above, then you can download the update from iOS 9 official download link below and use iTunes to manually update your iOS device. You may also need to install the update using iTunes if you don’t have enough storage space on the device for the update OTA.
Before connecting the iOS device. take a moment to make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes. Click iTunes in the menu bar and then click “Check for updates”.
Once iTunes is all squared away. it’s time to turn your attention to your iOS device and follow these instructions:
Step 1: Connect your iOS device to your computer via a USB cable. Wait for iTunes to open and connect to your device.
Step 2: Click the button on the device to the left of the iTunes Store in the top right in iTunes.
Step 3: Click “Check for Update” directly without now use down the Option key or the Shift key. If the iOS 9 update is available, it will automatically download and update your iOS 9 device.
