Apple. You know that the marketing guys at the conglomerate have done their job right when the first thing you think of after hearing this word isn’t the fruit but the iPhone. What started out as a smartphone promising to change the dynamics of the smartphone industry, is now perhaps the only object in the world with a cult following.
iPhone users are the kind of people who are hard to convert to any other phone be it an Android or a Windows phone. They are diehard fans who prefer their phones mainly because of the universality of an iPhone. Many believe that once you start using an Apple product especially the iPhone, you can just not go back to another operating system.
In light of the Apple Event 2015, let us go down the memory lane and take a look at all the stunning phones Apple has brought us over the years.
Apple iPhone (1st Generation): The first ever Apple iPhone, also known as iPhone first generation, was claimed to be “five years ahead of any other phone” by Steve Jobs when it was unveiled. With a 3.5 inch screen and 262,144-color (18-bit) TN LCD, this phone was certainly what people believed to be a “computer which made calls”. Powered by a 620 MHz processor, and an iPhone OS 1.0 which could be upgraded to OS 3.1.3, it was definitely a fast phone for its time. The first ever iPhone did not include a front camera but boasted a 2 MP back camera which was a big deal for all phone users at that time. This phone could be bought in a 4, 8 or 16 GB storage range. Looking back now, the first ever iPhone seems to be lacking a ton of features however, it cannot be denied that for the time it was released in, this was the stuff technological dreams were made of.
Apple iPhone 3G: Released in September 2008, this was the second generation of the iPhone which also boasted a 3.5 inch screen. The phone was launched with the slogan “The first phone to beat the iPhone” which said a lot for the high hopes that latched onto this product. The name however connoted the introduction of 3G to iPhones. The best feature introduced with this phone definitely had to be the App Store which allowed users access to third party applications. This phone was powered by a 620 MHz process and came loaded with OS 2.0 which could be upgraded to iOS 4.2.1. Even though this phone boasted the same camera as that of its predecessor, it became known for being the stepping stone for the iPhone 4 which boasted a front camera as well as a 5 MP rear camera. Better than its predecessor, this phone revolutionized the world of smart phones mostly due to the introduction of the App Store.

Fueled by a 1 GHz processor this phone was loaded with iOS 4.0 (GSM) and iOS 4.2.5 (CDMA) and could be upgraded up to iOS 7.1.2. Deemed to have longest span of any iPhones, this model definitely charts as one of the most successful iPhones to date.

With the introduction of this iPhone, Apple increased their storage capacity as this model could be bought in 8, 16, 32 and 64 GB storage capacity. The speed of this phone was that of its predecessor as it also boasted a 1 GHz processor. Preloaded with iOS 5.0, this was the first iPhone which could be upgraded to iOS 8.4.1. The phone also boasted a 0.3 MPP front camera and a newly improved 8.0 MP rear camera.

This button was integrated with “Touch ID” which is the fingerprint recognition software that allows users to adjust their phone to their own personal fingerprint. This was the first model to be pre-loaded with iOS 7 and can be upgraded to iOS 9. With a front 1.2 MP camera and an 8 MP rear camera, the phone maintains photo quality excellently.
