Apple announces a new record after completing billion iPhones sold

Although in recent months the iPhone has not had good sales, smartphone apple company just registered a new record.According to Apple said in a statement during a meeting with employees in Cupertino, Tim Cook announced that the company recently sold the iPhone 1,000th million.
 
“IPhone has become one of the most famous and successful products in changing the world. It has become a constant companion. iPhone is an essential part of our daily lives and enables us to meet much of our daily activity. Last week we achieved a significant milestone when we sold one billion units. We never proposed this, but we’ve always wanted to make the best products that make a difference. Thanks to everyone at Apple, for helping us change the world every day,” said Cook.
 
It is important to note that half of these billion were sold in the last two years, then remember that in March 2014, the company said it had sold five hundred million iPhone worldwide.
Besides, Apple had already reached one billion active devices earlier this year, but at that time the company was referring to all iOS, MacOS, and watchOS TVOS equipment connected to the App Store or iTunes.

As we reported yesterday, the iPhone had a challenging quarter for the second time since 15 % fewer units were sold compared to the same period last year, remaining at 40.4 million units in the quarter. With mobile, Apple earned 23 % less income compared to last year.
 

However, Tim Cook stressed that the iPhone had been very well received among users, and this has been reflected in sales of this device. “We are delighted with the response we’re seeing. It is clear that there is demand, even more than we had thought,” Cook said.
